Sam is a Grass Valley native. He attended Bear River High School and received a bachelor of science in biology from the University of Nevada, Reno. After graduating he fell back in love with homebuilding while working in Truckee’s Lahontan development. Then he moved to Marin County and worked for his uncle’s remodeling firm as a bilingual foreman. The traffic and cost of living in the bay area made him realize how great his hometown is, so he returned to work for his father, local general contractor Sam Marsico Sr. He obtained his contractors’ license in 2004 and began building high-end homes and remodels that were usually overflow leads from his father’s business. Sam is an NCCA certified green building professional. He lives in Alta Sierra with his wife and four children.
